Measurement - Temperature

To start this term off in Maths we are learning about Measurement. We have learnt all about temperature this week.

We made our very own temperature gauge, ordered food onto on a thermometer and got to watch the temperature go up and down on the thermometer by putting it into water with different temperatures.

I wonder whose thermometer is in the hot water?

Eva thinks the 'red stuff goes up when the water is hot'

Harry what's the temperature of your water?

I wonder what is happening to the temperature?

Using the thermometer is fun!

Making 3D Shapes!!

We learnt all about 3D shapes and their features last term. 3D shapes have faces, corners and edges.

To finish our unit off we got to make 3D shapes with lollies and skewers. Have a look below at the shape we made... do you know which is which?

Ooh, I wonder what these guys are going to make?

Look at us working hard!

What are you going to make those into Yellow group?

Looks like the shapes are close to being made on this table!

We made a triangular and square based pyramid said Kelly and Hayden.

Wow! Cool pyramid Duncan and Harry!

Amelia and Chanelle made a cube!
